IISLAMABAD: The federal government has decided to increase the price of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) by Rs 15 per kilogram in three provinces of the country.
According to the sources the price of CNG will be increased in Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, whereas Punjab will not be affected by the price hike as most of the gas stations have converted to Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG).
The new price likely to be implemented from next week.
Earlier, Finance Minister stated that despite Oil and Gas Regulatory Authorities (OGRA) recommended to increase the prices of petroleum products by Rs 4, the federal government has decided to keep the prices unchanged.
It was recommended that the price of petrol should be increase by Rs 6.30 per liter from October 1st, while the price of Kerosene oil was recommended to increase by RS 10 per liter.
Furthermore, the price of Light Diesel was recommended to increase by Rs 4 per liter and High Diesel by Rs 8.50 per liter.
