The AJK President Sardar Masood Khan has said that Sheikh Abdullah’s National Conference and Mehbooba Mufti’s Peoples Democratic Party have equally contributed to the massacre and incarceration of Kashmiri people and molestation of Kashmiri women by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir, and as such these pro-India gangsters cannot be equated with the leaders of parties fighting the Indian slavery.
He was addressing as the chief guest at a round table conference organization jointly by ministry of Kashmir affairs and the Institute of Strategic Studies here on Friday.
The AJK president said that Pakistan and the Kashmiri people while remaining alive to India’s shrewd tricks of India, will have to carry forward movement for the right of self-determination with complete unity in their rank and file.
Talking about the Indian tricks to divert attention of the world from the situation of occupied Kashmir, Sardar Masood Khan said that the Indian government tried to arrange a guided tour of Kashmir for the foreign ambassadors based in New Delhi, but the European Union ambassadors refused to become part of this tour saying that instead of calling occupied Kashmir as a disputed territory, it was being declared a part of the Indian Union, which is repugnant to the historical and legal status of occupied territory.
While declaring right of self-determination of the Kashmiri people as an internationally recognized reality, the AJK president said that the United States had failed to implement its resolutions on Kashmir, because India contrary to its commitments to the world and the Kashmiri people, had refused to recognized the principle of self-determination in order perpetuate its unlawful occupation of the state.
Now, he maintained that under a systematic planning, India has once again attacked the held territory, and also bifurcated it to bring it down to the municipality level. Besides, India has showed Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan its parts in the new maps.
The AJK president said that international media was speaking in favor of Kashmiri people after a long time, and similarly, China, Germany, Finland, and many other countries were boldly speaking in favor the legitimate and just struggle of the Kashmiri people. Unfortunately, he added, the governments of some important countries were still silent.
Sardar Masood Khan said that this was for the first time that a Kashmir advocacy group has been established in the Malaysian parliament, and such developments are taking place in other ASEAN members also.
Aizaz Chaudhry and Arif Kamal in their speeches declared the Indian actions in occupied Kashmir as violation of the UN resolutions as well as Pakistan-India bilateral agreements. They said that the UN silence over the Indian actions is a proof that the world order has failed.
