LAHORE: The Code of Conduct Violations Monitoring (CCVM) system developed by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) on Wednesday reported 18722 violations in 36 districts of the Punjab Province during the general election campaigns.
For each PP constituency, two monitoring officers were notified by the ECPm who used their smartphones to report violations related to code of conduct issued by ECP.
18722 reported code of conduct violations were resolved. The violations included 467 wall chalkings, 14544 panaflexes, 3049 banners/posters and 435 billboards.
Moreover, 7 incidents of firing, 10 incidents of arms display, 30 incidents of use of loudspeaker, 27 reported meetings without permission and 3 incidents of brawls were recorded among 74 others, which were resolved..
Punjab chief secretary appreciated the dedicated team work by PITB and acknowledge the services of the officials by inviting them to his office.
