The Punjab home department on Thursday ordered the closure of 134 security companies and issued notices to 40 others for failing to follow the rules and regulations.
NS Security Company and Fahad Security Service, two businesses from Lahore, were among those shutdowns.
In notices to 40 other businesses, the department instructed them to make sure that their security guards received training in addition to having their data verified by police.
