22-year young Hindu girl Arti Bai who was alleged to have been kidnapped has converted to Islam and has married a young Muslim man. Both were produced before the court, following which she she was sent to Darul Aman while the man was handed over to police. According to details, ASP Ahmed Faisal Chaudhry has revealed that Arti Bai who was feared to have been abducted has converted to Islam and has married a man named Fawad, using her free will. Addressing a press conference in his office, ASP said the police detected them technically and recovered them from the Bus Stand area. He said that according to the girl’s family, the age of Arti Bai is 22 years but we will investigate it keeping in view her educational certificates and medical board. He said the issue is being probed from every angle, although according to the girl’s statement before the court, she wants to go with her groom Fawad, but the court sent her to Darul Aman for three days, so that she can think correctly, without any influence in a safe place at Darul Aman. Members of Hindu community gathered and chanted slogans on the occasion and tried to meet her amid tight security. It must be mentioned here that Dr. Namo Mal, father of Arti Bai, had registered kidnapping FIR No. 18/2021 under section 365 PPC at Ali Gohar Abad police station on 4th April, 2021.
